RCN is electing its new Board

Board members needed
RCN elects a new Board every two years and nominations close FRIDAY, 12TH OCTOBER 2018

If you are interested in becoming a Board member of RCN please get nominated through your community group or a NI voluntary organisation.  Groups must be members but community groups with an income of less than £10k are entitled to one year's free membership.

  • There are six membership categories within RCN - community groups, NI wide voluntary organisations, statutory agencies, individual members, external members and consultants/businesses.
  •  Only community groups, NI wide voluntary organisations and statutory agencies are eligible to vote in the election of Board members.
  • Community groups can nominate and vote for two community group representatives from their own county, voluntary groups for two voluntary group representatives and statutory agencies for one statutory representative.
  • An election form is compiled from this list which is then circulated.
  • From the election results the Executive Officers of RCN are elected. The Chair must be recruited from the community sector category.
  • There are also several co-options available up to a maximum Board number of 23.
  • Board members represent their category rather than their group.

The results of the election must be completed for the announcement of the new Board at the AGM of RCN which will take place on 29th November.
