'Celebrating Rural Life'

RCN's AGM and Annual Conference
Thursday, 29th November 2018
Seamus Heaney Home Place, Bellaghy

Our theme for the Annual Conference this year is ‘Celebrating Rural Life’.  We will be exploring how local groups and people really embrace self-help and community development across rural regions despite austerity, lack of investment and withdrawal of services.

The visit to Lockkeepers Cottage in Toome will showcase local groups telling the story of their work under the three themes of social, economic and environmental projects and how they are currently managing.

Registration from 9.30am with refreshments and AGM starting at 10.00am.  After the AGM business has taken place, Julie Harrison from Big Lottery Fund NI will be our keynote speaker. This will be followed by a panel discussion about our theme.  We will then be launching our ‘Rural Social Value’ report.

Lunch will be provided after which delegates will make their own way to the Lockkeepers Cottage in Toome BT41 3TE before finishing at 4pm.

To register contact by 23rd November.
