RCN Board Elections

RCN elects its Board every two years.
  • Of the 6 membership categories only community groups, NI wide voluntary organisations, statutory agencies are eligible to vote.
  • Community groups can nominate and vote for two community group representatives from their own county, voluntary groups for two voluntary group representatives and statutory agencies for one statutory representative.
  • There are also several co-options available up to a maximum Board number of 23.
  • The results of the election must be completed for the announcement of the new Board at the AGM of RCN on 26th November via Zoom.
  • There are 5/6 meetings a year lasting about two hours each. These are currently taking place over Zoom but ordinarily in Cookstown on a Wednesday early evening and travel expenses are paid.
